Meet your teacher

Caroline van den Ende,
teaching yoga since 1999.

“Finding happiness inside yourself every day, and sharing it with others.”

That is how I like to describe myself. I started teaching in 1999, in gyms, with Baron Baptiste’s power yoga. Then training upon training: ashtanga, kundalini, hatha. Each teacher gave me something different.

In the end I chose a form of my own: Smiling Spirit Yoga. Yoga, for me, is skill in action, staying supple while life keeps changing. You do the postures to make space, so the energy can flow again.

In summer I stand on the beach. The rest of the year in a school hall in Wassenaar, or at your home. You can also practise with me on YouTube.

I’ve been taking yoga classes with Caroline for 13 years and I still love it! Over the years yoga has become a fixed part of my life. The classes are lovely every time and help me settle, both physically and mentally. The atmosphere is relaxed and familiar, and the guidance is expert and personal. A lovely moment in my week that I still look forward to after 13 years!

Caroline’s yoga classes come highly recommended. I can relax and I feel motivated, and I’ve been doing this with Caroline for more than 10 years! Every class is different and never gets boring!

Very relaxed and original! Caroline understands relaxing, effort, meditation and laughter too! Great classes for young and old. In short, a wonderful experience every time! In the summer months Caroline also teaches yoga on the beach, and in winter a so-called yogi walk, combining yoga exercises with a lovely walk on a different route each time!

I started yoga with Caroline not long ago. The moment you walk into the room the relaxation starts, with the setting, the atmosphere and a cup of tea. A lovely hour of recovering and recharging, and discovering again and again that yoga isn’t that easy, but always has an effect! Many thanks for that, Caroline.

Wonderfully inspiring classes! Caroline van den Ende is a very experienced yoga teacher, and even when the classes are quite full, she has enough attention for everyone. Really recommended.

I’ve been taking yoga classes with Caroline for over a year, and it’s been a success from day one. Her classes are pleasant and clear. She helps you where needed. You set your own level, nothing is compulsory. For both my body and my mind, I wouldn’t want to be without it.

The moment you walk in, the outside world no longer exists. The calm, your presence and the way you teach are worth recommending. Do it!

The classes are so good! A lovely combination of calm, meditation and movement. Caroline has a wonderful voice! I always settle. From May I join the yoga on the beach, which I really recommend!

I’ve been taking yoga classes with Caroline for several years. What I like about her classes is the easy, relaxed atmosphere where everything is allowed and nothing is required. A breath of fresh air compared with some other yoga schools, where you feel clumsy if you can’t keep up. Her classes are also varied, a combination of different kinds of yoga, with plenty of attention for meditation and breathing exercises.

Smiling Spirit is truly recommended. Caroline offers a pleasant, down-to-earth atmosphere and an excellent class that is both demanding and relaxing. It’s varied, and Caroline regularly tries new things too, like kirtan or laughter meditation. I’ve been coming to Caroline’s yoga class for years, and I love it.

Eline van LelyveldStudent of Caroline

The yoga class gives me a special kind of relaxation and energy. The classes are very varied, and Caroline teaches them in a very pleasant and professional way. And starting the day with a laugh is a nice bonus.

Piet-Hein BoogerdStudent of Caroline

Caroline’s yoga classes are absolutely great! Different every time, and a must for anyone who sits or works too much! Sadly I can’t make it every week, but then I can always watch one of Caroline’s videos and carry on at home!

SilviaStudent of Caroline

I started classes with you about 8 years ago. I love that the level doesn’t matter. Advanced students get a little more guidance to deepen the postures, beginners a little less intensity. You always have a (sincere) compliment ready. The relaxed atmosphere combined with effort is great. But my favourite is still the last exercise: meditating in savasana.

I’ve been taking yoga classes with Caroline for several years. The classes are very varied, yet with a steady structure, so you can really focus. Caroline teaches professionally in a relaxed atmosphere. The mantra classes are worth it too. Especially when you follow the regular class straight after, you notice the effect of the meditation. I really recommend Caroline’s classes!

For more than 3 years I’ve faithfully gone to Caroline’s yoga class once a week. A lovely hour to stop the rollercoaster of life and simply relax in a healthy way. Recommended for anyone who knows that rollercoaster!

I started with Caroline about a year and a half ago. Back then I had no energy at all, not even to exercise. Now, a year and a half later, my body is picking the energy back up and there’s balance between tension and relaxation. I’m very grateful to Caroline for her support in class, and I still love going!

I’ve been taking yoga classes with Caroline for 2 years. It’s an hour of effort and relaxation. The classes are varied, so you learn something new every time. I’m completely calm and relaxed again after a class. I can recommend it to anyone.

Marthy KrebbersStudent of Caroline

I’ve been taking yoga classes with Caroline since May. I started to become more flexible, and now I can touch my toes again! What I didn’t know is that it also has a spiritual side. That makes it extra interesting and special for me. I especially enjoy the kirtan evening. What exactly it does to me I don’t know, quieter, calmer, more aware? Either way, it’s worth it.

IdaStudent of Caroline

I started yoga a few months ago, with Caroline. I wanted to become a bit more supple. Even though I’m still not supple and find balance exercises hard, I’m glad I do yoga, and I’m sorry I didn’t start much sooner, because I can simply feel that it’s good for me.
